Prime Path Tutors provides specialist one‑to‑one tuition in A‑Level and Further Mathematics for ambitious students aiming for top grades and competitive university courses.

Between us, we have taught for decades in leading UK independent schools, working extensively with Oxbridge candidates and high‑achieving sixth‑form mathematicians. Our focus is depth of understanding, advanced problem‑solving technique, and confident examination performance.

GCSE and IGCSE tuition is also available with Julian for students seeking structured support and strong mathematical foundations.

Meet the Tutors

Maxim Hind

Maxim spent 14 years teaching at University College School (UCS), where he delivered A‑Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics to sixth‑form students, including many preparing for competitive university courses.

Following relocation, he joined Caterham School, where he continues to teach A‑Level and Further Mathematics, working predominantly with the school’s most able mathematicians.

Across both schools, Maxim has prepared numerous Oxbridge candidates, supporting students through STEP, MAT and TMUA preparation, as well as university interview guidance. His teaching combines conceptual clarity with rigorous problem‑solving technique, helping students move confidently from examination success to university‑level thinking.

Julian Hind

Julian taught for over 20 years at Eltham College before retiring in 2010. Since then, he has continued to teach in a range of leading independent schools in both temporary and longer‑term roles, including University College School, JAGS, City of London School, Dulwich College, and Kew House.

In each setting, he has been employed as a Further Mathematics specialist, delivering advanced sixth‑form teaching to the schools’ most able students.

Julian’s calm, methodical approach and deep subject knowledge enable students to develop clarity, independence, and confidence in even the most demanding areas of the syllabus.

Clear, specialist pricing. Flexibility is available in scheduling and session structure where appropriate.

£100 per 60‑minute lesson

Available with Maxim or Julian. STEP/MAT/TMUA preparation included where relevant.

GCSE & IGCSE (Julian)

£75 per 60‑minute lesson

Structured support, exam technique, and long‑term mathematical development.
